Remember how I declared that this was my year? I declared that this was going to be the best year yet for me. In so many ways it is. :)
My photography business is going great. I have a steady stream of work. New clients. New opportunities. This spring is going to be very exciting.
But I am getting ahead of myself...before I get to the spring...
I also put something out there that I had hoped and dreamed about for some time now. My hubby and I are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. We had a quick wedding on Ft Rucker, Alabama right after the ceremony he kissed me good bye and went to take his flight test. This was the last test he needed to complete to fly Black Hawk helicopters for the Army. My brothers, sisters and parents came to witness that I was
really getting married.
Funny side story... we were waiting on the chaplain to start the ceremony. He was 10 min late because he had a previous engagement to attend to. After the ceremony my sister asked me what happened, she thought I had doubts or changed my mind. HA! If I did have doubts, I was given plenty of time to call it off. This wonderful small ceremony of commitment was the foundation for our next 10 challenging, exciting, happy, adventure together.
Back to the day of the wedding - I went to the beach with my family.
Not long after we were married he was sent over seas to fight the war in Iraq.
We always thought we would get around to a big wedding and honeymoon one day. It just hasn't happened. I always thought a big wedding was important to me, I've realized that it really isn't. The way we were married was perfect.
I am so excited that we are off next week to our beautiful honeymoon vacation, 10 years in the making. I put this dream of mine out there believing in my heart that it was going to happen. I didn't know how the details (schedules, money, kids etc) were going to work out but everything has fallen into place. FAITH!
He is my partner, my love.
The day he left for Iraq.
My
AH HA moment......I've just realized while putting this together that I have always had an explosion of blessings throughout my life not just this year.
I am blessed!
