I received the same book as a gift from two different friends. One friend I met in high school and we have reconnected via FB. I haven't seen her in years, probably over a decade. She mailed me this book very randomly. The beautiful note she attached started, "I thought about you when I saw this title." I was very touched, she went out of her way to make this purchase and then to mail it to me. At that time, I was having one of those moments where doubts regarding my journey start to slowly trickle in. I knew that this gift was significant.
I put the book on my desk but didn't do anything with it. Waiting... not sure for what...
A few weeks later, I met up with a roommate from college. We reconnected when I moved back to the Chicago area, again via FB. I listened to her as she described the wonderful, nervous, exciting feelings she is having. She is relocating her family of five to a new city away from everything she has known family, friends and familiar surroundings. My friend is taking that all too familiar faithful leap. She is stepping in all those doors that have randomly been open for her and her family. With the craziness of moving, how could she even think of bringing me a gift? She did. It was the same book I received a few weeks ago. "I chose that book because it totally did remind me of you," her text later that day stated.
There is nothing random or coincidental in this. This situation is filled with meaning, purpose and definitely a sign of something... so here I start my journey to discover what it is.
The book is titled, "One Good Deed A Day, a journal". I haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to take on this project, maybe once a week and posting here once a month. Which ever path I take, I know that is, what is meant to be.
Oh my goodness Angel…. the SAME journal?!? That's definitely pointing to something!
ReplyDeleteIn all of my craziness I can't believe I didn't see this post! I'm glad that it was you who could relate to my 'faithful leap'. Thanks for your love and support!
