The Great Pumpkin - Chicago Area Photographer

Took some shots at the pumpkin patch. Here is my take on the Great Pumpkin.

"I've learned there are three things you don't discuss with people: religion, politics, and the great pumpkin." -Linus

"Never jump into a pile of leaves with a wet sucker." -Linus

"Well that's nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of trick-or-treat." -Linus

"There he is! There he is! It's the Great Pumpkin! He's rising out of the pumpkin patch!" -Linus

[Lucy scoops out the innards of the pumpkin] Linus: "Ohh. You didn't tell me you were gonna kill it!"

"I'm doomed. One little slip like that could cause the Great Pumpkin to pass you by. Oh, Great Pumpkin, where are you?" -Linus

Charlie Brown: "Oh Brother. When are you going to stop believing in something that isn't true?" Linus: "When YOU stop believing in that fat guy in a red suit and the white beard who goes, 'Ho, ho, ho!'"

"The Addams Family" - Chicago Area Photographer

They're creepy and they're kooky,

Mysterious and spooky,

They're all together ooky,

The Clark Family

Happy Halloween! Halloween is my favorite holiday. Every year I like to do a family theme for our costumes, this year is our version of the Addams Family.
Taking pics of your family is one thing, taking pics of your family and your in them is another story. Shhhheeeshhhhh it wasn't easy! Good thing I have a husband who loves and humors me! I had 5 min to shoot a good pic before someone had a melt down... the remote trigger in one hand and crossing my fingers with the other.
Here is this years family Halloween portrait.

I had 2 min in between my husbands double shift for this pic so I went a bit artsy! This one was a close second!

From my family to yours have a fun and Safe Halloween!

Future Pro Hockey Player - Chicago Area Photographer

Mr. A recently turned 11, so we went out and took some shots. Me with my camera and him with his hockey stick. We talked about hockey, school, hockey, girls and more hockey. He is very excited to start playing in a league soon. With all the heart he has for it, I know he will be exceptional. Oh and Mr. A - thanks for helping me find my keys! HA!

On The Farm - Chicago Area Photographer

I was so surprised that this 1880's rural German farm is just a few towns away. Maintained by the Shamburg Park District the Volkening Heritage Farm is a step back in time with authentically dressed guides throughout the grounds. The little ones loved the animals. It was the first time the baby saw farm animals so up close, he was mesmerized. It reminded me of many places in the south quiet and slow paced. Here are a few of my favorites:

Shooting in Sandwich, IL - Chicago Area Photographer

My BIL & SIL live in Sandwich, a beautiful little town with lots of great scenery and great spots for pics. When my husband said he wanted to go out there for a turkey shoot, I couldn't wait. I contact my SIL and her daughters, whom enjoy photog, so that we could go out and so some of our own shooting. They took me out to this amazing pedestrian bridge, it was a perfect place to shoot. As I was out there over looking the water I thought these are going to be great for my blog, my subject would be the bridge. When I reviewed the images I found a far better subject, a red headed one... my niece A.
