Home - Grayslake IL Family Photographer

“Home is people. Not a place. If you go back there after the people are gone, then all you can see is what is not there any more.”

How blessed am I to capture these beautiful images for this family?  The weather is still too cold to do an outdoor session but that didn't matter.

The importance of capturing today and now inside your home....

Uncles are so much FUN!

E Turns Two - Chicago Area Family Photographer

I've been photographing princess E since she was 3 months old.  She is turning 2!
E has taught me a lot of things.  One of the most important things she has taught me is to be flexible.
I always go into a session with a plan but E always has other plans :) Her plans work out for the best.

Happy Birthday E! What an honor it has been to capture you grow.  God bless you!

The Importance Of Today - Grayslake Family Photographer

My speciality is natural light, that is where I feel I do my best work.  When Mr. B, the patriarch of the family, contacted me to do an indoor evening session with no sunlight - I was more than a bit hesitant.  As he told me exactly what he wanted, I sensed this urgency.  He needed a photo session, now.  After all, it has been decades since their last family photo session.

Maybe there are no glowing sunsets in the background or no bright blue skies... but you know what you can find in these images?  A loving family and that is what matters most.

A loving family with a great sense of humor.

When is the last time you had a family photo session?  There is no better time then now.

Valentines - Chicago Area Family Photojournalist

I really enjoy collaborating with my kiddos on projects like these.  When they see the finished product... priceless.  They picked the candy.  I picked a different kind but they wanted the Conversation Hearts.  We took a few pics, I coached them on how to sit and put their hands.  They decided what picture they wanted to use. I edited. Then they helped attach the image to the box.

J's candy is in his mouth... LOL!

The finish product cute and simple.  I did remove my girls names for posting on the web ;)
J doesn't go to school but can not be left out.  I asked him who he was going to give his to.  He said his tummy... HA!

Snow Fun - Chicago Area Family Photographer

Are you on Facebook?  So am I.  Give me a like, please and thank you: https://www.facebook.com/AngelClarkPhotography

This was my first snow session and it was so much fun! This mama knew she wanted something different when it came to her family portrait session, she wanted snow.  The kiddos were troopers, smiling through chattering teeth.  We got lots of really great shots.  Here are just a few:

Sweet M said she wanted her picture right by this tree.  Such a tender hearted girl.  :)

The cutest little penguin ever!

I'm so glad we took a little more time with mom and dad while the kiddos warmed up in the car.  We got a lot of romantic ones like this one.  Just in time for Valentines Day!

Some snow falling in the pic.  :)

Thank you beautiful family U! It was great working with all of you and I appreciate the opportunity.
