My Pretty Girls - Chicago Area Children Photographer

My girls have birthdays this month.  M last week and R today.  Every year I do their birthday pictures and they look forward to it.  We probably shot for 15 min or less (the skeeters were getting us) and I got so many beautiful images.

My girls....

Happy Birthday to my beautiful girls!

S Familia - Chicago Area Family Photographer

The sun is shining so brightly on this family.  Not a cloud in the sky for this evening session.  These extended family sessions are so much fun.  So many beautiful faces and different personalities... what's there not to love?

I have many images I want to highlight from this session that I will stop talking and just get started...

These two are newly weds, so much love just radiating from them :)

Love this mother/daughter duo!

We started like this (above).  "I don't want too!"
We ended like this (below).  :)

I like this urban and modern look above.  The traditional image below works great too.  When you are a young beautiful family so many different styles work.

Abuelita and abuelito have a lot to smile about.  Que orgullo!
Does life get any sweeter than this?

Babies are Blessings - Chicago Area Baby Photographer

This week I have two sessions to highlight so make sure you check out both.  After a slow July it is wonderful to start the busy photography season with these two perfect sessions.

This little guy is such a cutie.  Look at those beautiful curls and that face... he is a blessing for sure!

I know that the session went great when it is so hard to pick just a few to post.

For baby sessions I plan on 3 different backdrops/looks.  Usually, by the end of the third the baby doesn't want much to do with modeling any more.  Mama and I attempted a 4th one, but he was done.  He even gave me the - peace out photographer lady I am done....LOL!

And with that... peace out... come check out my blog next Wednesday!

1st Birthday - Chicago Area Child Photographer

We had a fun morning capturing these beautiful images.  What a beautiful milestone - the first birthday is.  Congratulations to mama! I know I've said this before but the first year was always the most challenging for me.  It is definitely a reason for everyone in the family to celebrate.

It was so hard to pick just a few from this session, we have so many awesome images...

M is starting to take his first steps!

We love to stick out our tongue.

Sweet big sister, I asked her to fold her hands in her lap thinking that she would interlock her fingers... she did this... and I love this breathtaking image.

How perfect is this?  They are both winking one eye; making the exact same face.  There is nothing like the relationship between a brother and a sister.

Cake time.

Happy 1st Birthday M and family!

One Good Deed A Day - Chicago Area Photographer

Meaningful things happen every day to every one.  It is all about how you look at it.  Coincidence?  Circumstance? A sign?  Randomness? An answer?  Insight?  Awareness? Irony?  Fate?  Karma?  The possibilities are endless...

I received the same book as a gift from two different friends.  One friend I met in high  school and we have reconnected via FB.  I haven't seen her in years, probably over a decade.  She mailed me this book very randomly.     The beautiful note she attached started, "I thought about you when I saw this title."  I was very touched, she went out of her way to make this purchase and then to mail it to me.  At that time, I was having one of those moments where doubts regarding my journey start to slowly trickle in.  I knew that this gift was significant.

I put the book on my desk but didn't do anything with it.  Waiting... not sure for what...

A few weeks later, I met up with a roommate from college.  We reconnected when I moved back to the Chicago area, again via FB.  I listened to her as she described the wonderful, nervous, exciting feelings she is having.  She is relocating her family of five to a new city away from everything she has known family, friends and familiar surroundings.  My friend is taking that all too familiar faithful leap.  She is stepping in all those doors that have randomly been open for her and her family.  With the craziness of moving, how could she even think of bringing me a gift?  She did.  It was the same book I received a few weeks ago.  "I chose that book because it totally did remind me of you," her text later that day stated.

There is nothing random or coincidental in this.  This situation is filled with meaning, purpose and definitely a sign of something... so here I start my journey to discover what it is.

The book is titled, "One Good Deed A Day, a journal".  I haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to take on this project, maybe once a week and posting here once a month.  Which ever path I take, I know that is, what is meant to be.
