Maternity Session Smile - Grayslake Photographer

I love it when friends I haven't seen in a long, long time (since high school) contact me for a photo session.  Not only do we get to catch up chatting in between shots; I also have the privilege of capturing beautiful images for them.  That's exactly what happened here with this beautiful mama...

At one point we discussed some photography challenges like getting everyone to smile, especially when you have multiple little ones in a family.  Sometimes everyone just doesn't smile at the same time and I have to make a composite image.  Moving faces and smiles into one perfectly happy image is something that takes some practice.  My beautiful friend let me know that her handsome husband doesn't smile in images.  Below was the first set of images and I think these smiles are pretty good...

As we started having fun the smiles kept coming...

This was the last set of images (below).  They were so comfortable with the camera and having fun. You just can't Photoshop this kind of love and joy displayed through smiles.

Thank you S for the opportunity to capture you and your husband during this very special time.  It really was a privilege and I hope to see you guys again soon with your new little blessing!

Maternity Session - Grayslake Maternity Photographer

One of my beautiful amigas is going to have her third little one in just a few months.  I jumped at the chance to photograph her glorious glow.  There are so many wonderful shots it was really hard to decide on a sneak peek.

This handsome guy told me that I smile and laugh a lot.  :D He also told me that I should wear a dress while photographing.  And he wondered why I smiled and laughed so much!?  

No words, just simply beautiful!  

Congratulations W Family! Can't wait to meet your new little blessing from above.

When I am working with two little cuties (ages 2 and 3) telling them to stand there and smile never works for me.  Instead I like to play games with them.  Here we were playing peekaboo.  It couldn't get much better than this :)

I've known A&J since college. They are college sweethearts. It's beautiful to see their love and family grow.

S family - Chicago Area Maternity Photographer

What an absolute privilege and honor it is to collaborate with my dear friends on these images.  A lifetime ago (well it seems like a lifetime ago) I lived in the charming state of TN.  I worked with this beautiful couple in an extraordinary company in Nashville.  (Why it was an extraordinary company is another story for another time. I will just say I have been eternally blessed from my experiences and the people that touched my life while working there.)   These two continue to bless my life.

 

I have driven by the spot above numerous times thinking what a perfect spot for a session.  It was just waiting for the perfect family. 

To be around this couple's love for each other is a spiritual experience. 

She is even more beautiful than the last time I saw her, 6 years ago. 

 

 

These two young handsome men threw me off a little.  When they spoke to me they called me, "Ma'am".  Southern gentlemen, for sure.

I am so honored to have taken these for my beautiful friend.  I introduced you to her story a few months ago.  The baby that they have prayed for is just a few weeks away.  How exciting! 
They have kept the gender a secret so here is the big reveal!

Maternity Session - Chicago Area Photographer

I met this great mama over the weekend and we had a beautiful session. 
Conoci esta fabulosa mama en el fin de semana y tuvimos una hermosa sesion.

 
Her guys were a little weary about the session but I think I won them over.  ;)
Los hombres estuvieron un poquito nerviosos pero creo que me los gane. ;)

Here is an outtake.... "You want me to do what?" Dad said. 
Un momento que pesce... "Quieres que haga que?" dice Papa.

He was a great sport and I can tell he is a very loving man. 
So I am not too sure how to translate that in Spanish.... LOL!

I love the joy in her face here.  She is stunning!
